One Beautiful Thing – New Trails

One thing I was very much looking forward to, and has very much not disappointed, about moving to the Pacific Northwest is the gorgeous, lush, green scenery.  Here on the Trinity Western campus where we’re staying right now, there are lots of beautiful trails to walk on with the Wild Things with moss covered trees, berry laden bushes, and beaver-housing babbling brooks.  Check out that awesome stump up there.  It would have been cool to see it as a tree, but it’s more fun for the Wild Boys as a stump.  It’s my one beautiful thing this week.

If you have a One Beautiful Thing picture to share, hop on over to Brook’s Blog.

  1. Jealous of your giant stump! I have always wanted to go out west and see all the forests.

And it looks like the sun is shining in that picture! I bet there is a lot of sparkling going on! Hehehehehe.

  2. Isn’t the grandeur and the greenness amazing? I’ve been in this neck of the woods for 3 years now, and I still stand amazed at it all. I love the moss that just drips off the trees.

  3. I am so glad we live in one of the most beautiful areas in the country. I’m glad you are enjoying it too!

  4. The scenery is beautiful! How are you dealing with the temperature change? I wonder if it is a treat to be away from oppressive heat.

So far it hasn’t been too bad of an adjustment. It’s been fairly cool (like highs in the 60’s) but everyone assures me this is unseasonably cool for the summer, so that’s reassuring, I guess. :)
