We have been in a hard season of life with a strong willed 3yr old and a wee fairy who just turned one. At some point last night while on Fb I saw you guys noted on Play at Home Moms page and clicked over to just see about you and what I can see of your heart it is beautiful.
I would love to take my wee ones nap times for reading these books instead of just damage control on the house, that will flow into them! I liked all the pgs on Fb and just this Am sent out an email to some church mama’s about you!
loud smiles, jen
Anybody who claims to be a perfect parent should have a nose bleed from taking the high road all the time. Nobody is or will ever be perfect except for the Lord Jesus Christ. I have often found myself wanting to watch TV instead of watching the Bug play and learn. That’s the selfishness rearing its ugly head. Everybody is guilty of that…especially when you’re a parent and you just want to pee by yourself. I’ve found myself saying no more than I should. That’s something I’ve prayed about…to just calm down. Everything doesn’t have to be perfect all the time. The house can be a little messy, she can pull the GladWare out of the cabinet, she can drop food on the floor. It’s all ok. The sleepless nights and constant noise do take their toll and out job as parents to keep our cool. I’ve done a lot of praying and asked for God to help me be a good parent. I’ve always feared I’d hurt mychild emotionally, the way my mom did. But with God’s help I know I won’t. Be a perfect parent is overrated.
