It is for freedom that Christ set us free.

It is for freedom that Christ set you free.  So don’t let yourself become a slave to legalistic religion again.

Jesus wants to free you from that.  Jesus did free you from that.  And his yoke is easy and his burden is light.

The most important thing is faith expressing itself through love.  If you have all the knowledge in the world and a faith that can move mountains, it is worthless without love.

If we honor God with our lips but then set aside his command to love and be free, for the sake of our traditions, we’re not following Jesus, we’re following man-made ideas.

Let’s not mock the freedom that was purchased at such a high price by building a house of spiritual slavery, one brick at a time, on a foundation this was poured in love and intended to release, not enslave.

So,  let’s embrace freedom.  Not freedom from Christ, freedom in Christ.

Oh, and if that offends people?  Ignore them.

  1. This post is great, except that I believe the KJV is the only correct translation of the Bible. So I didn’t dig your links…

    {Ha ha.}

    Seriously, this is simple and true. So very true. Unfortunately a lot of people have no idea they are in bondage, and they may try and kick you with their shackled feet when you tell them so.
