Dayspring Review and Giveaway – Redeemed Collection

*The giveaway is now closed and HopeUnbroken is the winner.*

Yay.  Dayspring products!

I don’t very often opt to do Dayspring reviews here on the blog because, truthfully, not all of their collections appeal to me.  But April’s theme, Redeemed, all kinds of attracted me with it’s use of Romans 8:28.  It’s one of my favorite scriptures, one of the few that I actually have memorized, verbatim.

I love Dayspring mugs.  And the Redeemed Mug didn’t disappoint.  I love the design.  I can’t begin to explain to you how much this mommy blogger appreciates a sturdy base to a coffee cup as it sits next to my ever-precious laptop.  I need all the help I can get to protect me, or little people that live with me, from spilling drinks.  I like the large double finger grips on this, too.

Not only do I love the design, I love the scripture, like I mentioned before.  I believe that God Clint Eastwoods my life, bringing good out of everything, the good, the bad, and the ugly.  Which, isn’t to say that God is always the bearer of the badugly.  But it’s comforting for me to know that, no matter what dumb decision I make that might veer me off course of God’s best, he’ll still use it to bring good.

Because He loves.  And I love Him.  And I’m loved.

The Redeemed teacup with lid is pretty darned cute, if I do say so myself.

How practical is that lid for steeping?  Love it.

I decided to gift the tea cup to one of my friends, since we’re moving soon and can only take a limited number of things with us.   The
Redeemed gift bag
was the perfect match, and it even comes with free tissue paper.

How perfect is that?

And, last but not least, I was surprised by how much I fell in love with the Redeemed memofolio.  Which, yeah, was a word I had never even heard of.

I NEED love the scripture on the front cover.  I’m not always that great at loving the brethren, y’all.  I have a habit of wearing my pharisee radar around like a big ole plank on my shoulder.  My bad.

The left side of the memofolio is a large notepad, perfect for grocery and to-do lists.  And the right side is an assortment of different sized sticky pads.  How cute is that?

  1. super cute stuff! i’ll admit that i used to look at this kind of “thing” as being a bit cliche, but over the years i’ve come to appreciate more and more the little daily things that remind me of God’s Word and allow Him to speak into my life. . . even while doing something as simple as drinking a cup of coffee :-)
    have a great day!

  3. dayspring designs sometime = cheesy/yuck but this stuff is great! and daily reminders that i’m loved & to love others are {always} needed! thanks for that. :)

  4. I saw a necklace out of this collection this past weekend and LOVE IT! And how cool is that notepad?!?!? AWESOME!

  5. I am drooling over that wallet- and that teacup! That would be a perfect gift for my Mother-in-law. Even though that verse is NOT her favorite (it was used very ugly against her once). But I think she would appreciate the idea of that verse being used in a “redeemed” way! ;0)

  6. Wow! I really like the redeemed theme on the mug and tea cup. Totally awesome. I’m with you, I don’t always like their stuff (cuz some of it is a bit foofy for me) But I actually like the stuff you reviewed today. Makes me wanna go to their site now…see ya! ;)

  7. “I have a habit of wearing my pharisee radar around like a big ole plank on my shoulder” Far more eloquent than what I was thinking about my own “judginess’ as I looked at the awesome memofolio. Who knew there was such a thing? I like the collection, which is a surprise, b/c normally I don’t do cutesy!

  8. My word for 2012 is “trust”, and Romans 8:28 has been one of the verses that I come back to again and again as I learn to put my trust completely in Christ’s love and God’s plan for me!

I keep seeing these Dayspring mugs pop up all over the web, in blogs I read. I LOVE them! And since I can hardly get through a day without my coffee in this exciting unschooling life I live with my three babes, carrying around a good verse would be even more energizing than the coffee, I think. :)

  13. This is a pretty collection. The verse on the bag has always been one of my favorites.
