Birds Of The Air

Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?

-Matthew 6:26

This is a pretty new series that chronicles the little miracles of provision that God blesses our family with in a given week.

This week we received two packages from our Amazon Grocery Wishlist. Score.

It included more peanut butter, cereal, honey, and some dried garbanzo beans. It’s the first time we’ve gotten the garbanzo beans from the list so I’m pretty jazzed about that. #hummus

I enjoyed a free latte with part of a gift card that someone sent me.

AND, I was given a new gift card this week for Tim Hortons, baby.  That’s Canadian for cheap coffee and donuts.

We were invited over for dinner twice this week. Free food and no cleaning – yes, please.

The McDreamy Hairs had us over. No joke – I totally asked her to put a good word in with her hair dresser for me. I need a hair cut, y’all.

I’ve been feeling particularly lonely lately and this weekend I wrote a post about knowing that you can’t develop intimate friendships without showing people your imperfect bits but not knowing if I’m willing to make that leap right now.  That night we went to dinner at someones house and this greeted me when I walked in.

Okay, so I don’t know if that’s exactly counts as “provision” but it felt like divine timing. Or something.

Now it’s your turn.

  5. That’s also Canadian for ‘good’ coffee and donuts, cheap only in price, not quality.
Love the stories of how God provides. He has provided for us sooo many times. Maybe I’ll join this link-up one of these weeks.
