  1. Thank you for putting this together! I love travel quotes but yes, you tend to see the same ones over and over again and these are almost all new to me (I only knew Mark Twain).

  2. One travels to run away from routine, that dreadful routine that kills all imagination and all our capacity for enthusiasm.” Ella Maillart – This is how I actually managed to travel when working. Nice one.

  3. Great list. There are a few I hadn’t read before. Great job on creating all the graphics!

  4. I really smiled when I read the last one, as I was just thinking that unfortunately, travel doesn’t make from everyone a better person. And it just jumped in front of my eyes :-D

  5. Love love love this post!! Finally some quotes I haven’t read before!!

  6. 2traveldads says:

Ironic: “…that dreadful routine…” but traveling requires a bit of routine so that you are successful in your travels.

  7. These are fantastic! Thanks for putting this together.

  8. I really, really love the Michener quote! Totally pinning :)

  9. I love these, but especially this one: “One travels to run away from routine, that dreadful routine that kills all imagination and all our capacity for enthusiasm.” Ella Maillard. I feel like one of the biggest things people who don’t travel ask people who travel is what are you running away form and this is the perfect answer.

  10. Except for a couple of them the others are all fresh ones, and all of them are quite impactful and inspirational, thanks for sharing.
